Alex

Alex is a recovering alcoholic and gambling addict who stayed in Cape Town after leaving the UK to come into recovery. He started his journey into counselling after receiving the gift of sobriety and finding a sense of purpose in passing that gift on.

Counselling in a variety of different contexts, both in and outside of addiction, is a journey that continues to reward, surprise, and challenge him. Studying counselling, first at SACAP, then specialising in addiction at UCT has equipped him with the tools and knowledge to achieve his goal of helping people heal from their struggles with and without addiction.
